Lifeblood has an inspiring opportunity for you As a Red Cell Reference Scientist, you will provide specialist scientific testing, support and problem solving to deliver services that support transfusion practice and clinical need.  You will undertake standardised testing, analysis and interpretation of results to inform release of products or further analysis as well as check and authorise test results for standardised donor testing.

In this role, you will have the organisational savvy and business insight to navigate and manage complex issues while developing constructive relationships to deliver business outcomes. You will be adept at using your experience in red cell reference serology to guide decision making and show pride in upholding our high safety and quality standards. 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for;

  • Bachelor of Science in a biomedical discipline
  • Experience in red cell serology/ transfusion laboratory is essential
  • Experience in molecular testing techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in performing process deviation management
  • Collaborative with a strong sense of teamwork
  • Digital and technical aptitude

Based out of our Brisbane Processing Centre this is a permanent part-time opportunity working 19 hours per week.
