Your opportunity

As a Clinical Engagement Advisor, your role will support Audiologists and Health Services with hearing assessment and rehabilitation processes, including ensuring that clients and families are connected with Hearing Australia’s services when needed and that their progress through referral and treatments pathways is seamless and timely and closely monitored. 

  • Deliver ear and hearing screening checks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and adults? 
  • Work with health services to deliver local events and to improve local awareness and understanding of ear and hearing health 
  • Provide clinical support for audiologists in the delivery of rehabilitation services and hearing assessments for children aged less than 3 years 
  • Assist audiologists by ensuring that parents and carers have understood the outcomes of an appointment and the required next steps 
  • Monitor progress of clients through the client journey and assist families and clients to navigate referral pathways 
  • Complete client reports and ensure all the client data are entered accurately in the client database system 

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate IV, Diploma or higher in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Allied health, Community Service (public health) management or a similar field is highly desirable 
  • A current driver’s license  
  • Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a community or health related role is desirable
