True Relationships & Reproductive Health (True, formerly Family Planning Queensland) is an iconic, profit-for-purpose organisation. Our goal is to achieve substantial, positive social impact by improving reproductive and sexual health and promoting safe and respectful relationships. We achieve this through the delivery of expert?clinical services,?education?and?counselling.
We need support to tell persuasive, evidence-based stories to show our impact and to continuously improve our services.
We are seeking a Data, Research and Impact Lead to improve and unleash the data we collect across all areas of our operations. We need help to analyse and report on our outcomes and build external research partnerships.
While ideally, the candidate will be based in Brisbane, the option for the position to be performed by a candidate in regional Queensland can be considered.
Job description
The Data, Research and Impact Lead is passionate about data and research and keen to share their expertise to rally colleagues and partners to be more impactful in the use of data and research.
Key criteria for this position includes:
- Alignment to True’s vision, mission and values as stated in the True Annual report.
- Experience in community and health service internal data reporting systems (such as Best Practice), analysis of data and communication of findings in analytical reports.
- Qualifications and significant experience in the conduct of qualitative and quantitative research and the translation of findings into action.
- Knowledge of social impact frameworks relevant to profit-for-purpose organisations
- Capacity to engage colleagues in data reporting and impact work.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, data entry, word processing and spreadsheets.
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card.
What you'll do
Work collaboratively with True staff to:
- Manage True’s internal data collection and reporting processes and assist in the development of an organisation wide Impact Framework.
- Analyse organisational performance and provide reports to managers and staff.
- Advise senior leaders about tools and processes to ensure reporting tools monitor and oversee quality and consistency of data.
- Communicate with staff across True to gain buy-in to reporting activities, share research findings and promote the use of data to improve client outcomes, inform practice development, influence policy and funders.
- Engage with external research providers to enhance True’s research capacity and impact.
What you'll bring
- A passion for justice and working collaboratively to end homelessness. Knowledge on housing and homelessness systems is optional.
- Data analysis skills, specifically being curious about data rather than accepting it unquestionably.
- Advanced understanding of data collection and quantitative/qualitative research methodology and tools.
- Sound knowledge and experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
- Experience in developing and delivering fit-for-purpose training (virtual and in-person).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Willingness to embrace and actively support the unique culture and values of working in a collective impact space.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience of a least five years
