• Location: Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre (Campbelltown) and Cobham Juvenile Justice Centre (St Marys)
• Salary ($64,803 – $113,844), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
About Us:
Juvenile Justice supervises and cares for young offenders in the community and in detention centres in NSW. The division provides diversionary and community-based services, as well as custodial services in detention centres for young people on remand and on control orders.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be required to provide expert consultant services to staff regarding case management and psychological needs of Juvenile Justice clients within custodial and community locations, as well as advice to statutory authorities and have the ability to operate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering psychological assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services.

Essential Requirements:
• Minimum P2, Class C drivers licence valid in NSW and willing to travel throughout NSW
• Hold a current Working with Children Check for paid employment
• Minimum 4 year accredited qualification in psychology with current provisional or full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
The Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 requires persons engaged in children related work to have Working with Children clearances. If successful in this role you will be required to provide a Working with Children Check clearance number prior to commencing in the role. A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 12 months.
As part of this application process, candidates are required to answer two pre-screening questions based on the focus capabilities for this role:
1. Describe your clinical experience in the assessment of adolescents, and the delivery of therapeutic interventions to young people who offend, giving examples.
2. What are the contemporary concepts, guiding principles and ethical issues relevant to the provision of a psychological service to young people who offend?
