Are you a driven and skilled Research Chemist looking to make an impact in the pharmaceutical industry? We are seeking a talented individual to join our R&D team at Abbey Animal Health, where you'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge products and solutions.
Purpose of the role:
As a Research Chemist, you will play a key role in driving our R&D strategy by testing, analysing, and ensuring the quality of both new and existing products. You'll work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards in product design and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse APIs, raw materials, and finished products using HPLC/LCMS.
- Assist in laboratory investigations, identifying OOS results.
- Collaborate on new product development and product optimization.
- Develop and document test plans, test cases, and scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Maintain research data, ensuring cGMP and regulatory standards are met.
- Conduct experiments, sample preparation, and maintain lab equipment.
- Liaise with external QC labs for product testing and method development.
- Support technical issue resolution and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in QA documentation for research studies.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical or related field with 2-4 years of experience, or Master’s with 5-8 years, or Bachelor’s with 9-12 years.
- Proficient in GC/HPLC/LC-MS/MS/GC-MS, with strong HPLC and LCMS experience.
- Experience in a cGMP environment and familiarity with APVMA regulatory standards is highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
