What you'll be doing
The Fire Safety Officer is responsible for assisting with all aspects of fire education, systems, safety, protection and prevention within NSLHD including Community Health Services. To ensure consistency in the development, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Fire Safety policies, procedures and programmes, ensuring compliance with NSW Health Policy Directives and Fire Safety Legislation.
The responsibility of this position includes consultation, development, review and advice on all facets of Fire Safety. Liaison and consultation with all key stakeholders in this process is integral to this position.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Appropriate qualifications and / or experience in the field of fire prevention, fire safety and emergency evacuation in a large multi-site organisation with evidence of current Fire Safety Management Certificate and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe).
- Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving.
- Essential communication in fire safety procedures and training ensuring clarity and engagement.
- Undertaking direct reports, evaluations & assessments.
