Research and Project Officer

The Drug Education Network (DEN) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to reducing harms from alcohol and other drugs for the Tasmanian community through education and leadership. DEN neither condones nor condemns the use of drugs. Rather, we acknowledge that drug use exists irrespective of legal status or societal norms.

We are looking for a Research and Project Officer to undertake research and project activities on issues relevant to alcohol and other drug health promotion, prevention and early intervention.

You will utilise your experience in designing and leading projects to build and maintain strong relationships and develop strategies for consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders relevant to specific projects.

DEN is a state-wide alcohol, tobacco and other drug health promotion organisation, but this role is based in Brisbane Street, Hobart.

WE ARE SEEKING A NEW TEAM MEMBER WHO HAS:

  • Demonstrated high-level problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to research and analyse material and identify key issues.
  • High-level interpersonal communication and consultation skills.
  • Excellent organisational, project management and time management skills.

This position is Part-time, 0.8 FTE on a 12-month contract. The Drug Education Network offers on the job training and orientation and flexibility to facilitate work/life balance.
